Great spot for a walk in lunch on a Friday, nicely decorated for the holidays. Service was great, as was our food. The beer queso was flavorful and a great addition to have with our tacos (especially drizzling some of the queso onto my barbacoa taco). Tacos are a nice portion for the price.
A great spot, with really good food. Weโd definitely come back to try the dinner - one note is that it is quite expensive. A breakfast sandwich with a cocktail comes to $30 plus tax and tip, and overall the value isnโt quite there. That sad, as a treat weโd definitely come here again
The appetizers were really tasty!
Corn fritters and queso dip with chips was super good. They gave a good portion of chips.
The barbacoa tacos were a bit underwhelming. Tortilla was a bit off, and the meat was too salty.
Good ambience and decorations.
But the noise level in the restaurant is very high.
We had the Beauty Bar Xmas dinner here the other night! Everything was amazing! The staff, the food and the atmosphere is great! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ the chef sent us an amazing salad, the blue corn cake for dessert was so good!!! ๐ฝ๐ฝ
This place is good! The savory kolaches are a must-try. Theyโre a bit spicy but the bread tastes exactly like a pretzel while still being super soft. The donuts are super light and airy. The chips and salsa are good but not worth 8 dollars- it should come free. The breakfast tacos are fine- nothing special about them but still yummy. The lemonade was a bit too sour for me. The atmosphere is lovely! I love all the lights and the general vibe of the place. Our waiter & everyone else we interacted with was super nice & incredibly helpful. A bit expensive but still worth a try.
I will note, however, I went with my fiancรฉ & family (who are from Texas) and they confirmed itโs similar but not authentic to true Tex-Mex.
Everything at Yellow Rose is made from scratch, adding to the already cozy, homey vibe.
This was my first time going to Yellow Rose for dinner and it was incredible. I highly recommend for a casual group get together, it is definitely some of the most high quality and fun food you can get at a reasonable price in the city right now.
Definitely start off your meal here with the beer queso - it is absurdly good. The shredded chicken verde taco was melt-in-your-mouth good and the papas ranchera taco with fried potatoes hit just right as well. All of this should be chased with their Damn Good Margarita, of course.
Good spot, really tasty food. Prices are standard for east village. I think the staff is really nice, I just wish they had an explanation of what a Texas taco was on the menu and slightly better lighting/seating. It was hard to get out of my seat even to leave or use the restroom because the spaces between tables was so narrow.
Just OK. Nice for what it is. Queso is solid. Best part about it was the donut - one of the best weโve had. But the Tex mex brunch menu underwhelmed us. Saw a lot of friend groups eating there so seems like a casual affordable hangout spot.
